Building, Healing and Beginning Again: A Life Update

Life has been full lately—in the beautiful way and the hard way. I have been building, creating, learning, resting, starting again and trying to listen more closely to what my body and mind need. I wanted to share an honest update about what I have been working on and what it looks like to keep dreaming while living with real health challenges.

What I have been building

SceneBloom Studio continues to be one of the biggest dreams in my heart. I am shaping it into a creative space where people can turn ideas and emotions into meaningful visual stories. At the same time, I have been writing original music, growing Heal & Harmony, organizing the photo memories that tell the story of my life and building this blog into a place where the person behind the projects can be seen too.

Creativity is not a side note in my life. It is how I process the world as a highly sensitive, neurodivergent woman. It helps me make sense of feelings that can be too large for ordinary conversation. Every song, image and page I build carries a little piece of that truth.

The honest part: health changes the pace

I live with serious illness and ongoing health challenges. Some days I have the energy to build, write and dream for hours. On other days, my body asks me to slow down, cancel a plan or rest before I feel ready. That can be frustrating, especially when my heart is full of ideas.

I am learning that changing the pace is not the same as giving up. Rest is part of the work. Asking for help is part of the work. Beginning again after a difficult day is part of the work too.

You are allowed to build a beautiful life at a pace your body and mind can hold.

Using my voice for women’s mental health

I am deeply excited to step into advocacy with the Canadian Mental Health Association, with a focus on women’s mental health. So many women learn to carry pain quietly while continuing to care for everyone around them. I want this blog to make room for the truth: our struggles deserve language, support, compassion and care.

I will share personal experiences rather than pretending to have every answer. My hope is that honest stories can help someone feel less alone and more willing to ask for the support they deserve.

A joyful return

I have also returned to Scentsy after nearly two years away, and that homecoming has brought back a real spark. I am excited about the new candles, the seasonal collections and the simple comfort that scent can bring to a home. Sometimes joy arrives through a huge breakthrough, and sometimes it arrives through a familiar fragrance, a glowing warmer or the feeling of being welcomed back.

That joy matters. Choosing something that lights us up does not erase the hard parts, but it can give us a little more warmth while we move through them.

What comes next

You can expect more updates here about SceneBloom, original music, women’s mental health advocacy, neurodivergent life, family, animals, health challenges, Scentsy favourites and the lessons hiding inside ordinary days. I want this space to feel real—soft enough for honesty, strong enough for hope and open enough for all the beautifully misunderstood parts of us.

I am building this one honest step at a time. Thank you for being here while it grows.

Personal note: I share my own experience here. Nothing in this post replaces professional medical or mental health care.
